"Everything in Divine timing" I always say. When one keeps to his goals it will soon be apparent he is on track by the synchronicities that start appearing. People and situations will begin to show up in your life to support you and your desires. The trouble is, sometimes we don't know what they are until later. Lately I have been doing some things in my life that I felt called to do. Both things were way outside my comfort zone! However, the calling was so strong I did it, fear and all! It was so uncomfortable for me to step so far outside my comfort zone that afterwards I would be thinking: "Why am I doing this! This is so uncomfortable for me!" But a voice inside always said to me, "You will know soon enough. Keep on keepin on!" So I did and still do. Both areas have to do with public speaking. An area in my life that was historically the worst possible thing for me to do! I truly cannot express how scary it was for me. I avoided public speaking classes in college like it was the black plague and forget about even giving a toast at a friend's birthday. I would have rather cleaned port-a-johns than public speak. No joke.
However, with all that being said, I just KNEW that these opportunities were coming my way for a reason. I knew someday I'd understand why these opportunities kept appearing in my life. Of course, my ego would pull it's typical tricks and try to keep my fear high and talk me out of it. But with all my studies on the ego, I was hip to it's tricks and I made a conscious decision to not let it win. I realized how much the ego had sabotaged me in the past and knew that I had to actually go through with these things in order to strengthen myself and keep moving forward towards my desires! I have since joined a public speaking group and have been on a local morning television show 4 times.
Currently, I am working on my first book. Last weekend I attended a Writer's Workshop hosted by Mishka Productions here in Phoenix, Arizona. It was one of the most amazing weekends of my life. Not only did I learn so much, there were sychronicities all over the place! Way too many to count. I just knew beyond a doubt that I was in the right place.
During one of the lectures, the editors were talking about platforming. And building one's platform involves a lot of public speaking. A-HA!! There it is! The whole reason why these public speaking situations kept presenting themselves to me. I needed practice. I needed to learn a new skill. The universe was setting me up, grooming me for what inevitably will come up later in my journey. My goal/desire is to write a book, but what comes with being an author is public speaking. So there it is.
My intention in writing this article is to encourage all of you to listen to your inner voice. Be willing to step outside your comfort zone. When you know you should be doing something, do it! The universe is always working behind the scenes on your behalf. Sometimes we may not know the 'why' of it, but have faith. There is a reason...
Peace, Kristen Brown

Why?
Why? The omnipresent, ever evolving question… Why? So many times in my life I have asked, “Why did this happen?” At times I got so caught up in the Why of the moment, I would forget to let go and just let the rest unfold. I would obsess about the so-called injustice of it that I would literally stop enjoying life! I would bind myself to digging and searching for the answers when it just wasn’t the time for the answers to be revealed.
My dear friend’s father once said, “Sometimes you are not to know the why right now.” How wise and true those words are. I have found that as I sit in the mystery of the Why, get quiet, pay attention and watch carefully, it all unfolds right before my eyes.
It seems the answer to Why comes when we least expect it. All of a sudden a certain awareness or clarity shows itself to us and it’s like a bell ringing! Wow! I get it now… I truly understand Why this whole thing unfolded the way it has. And when I truly reflect from deep within my soul, I realize it was all perfect.
I’m not saying the journey(s) haven’t been incredibly tough at the time, but I am saying I have come out of them as a better, stronger, wiser, calmer and more centered person than I was before.
I encourage you all- when life slaps a zinger on you, slow down your thoughts, stop trying to find the justice right now and quiet your being. It will reveal itself to you in time. I personally know how difficult it is to sit in the gap… But when viewing it from a different perspective of “the mystery”, I have learned to slow it down and allow life to reveal itself to me in divine right timing.
It is said, “Life is what you make it.” It has also been said, “Perception is reality.” I have truly adopted those statements into my life as standard rule of practice. When I can’t see past the trees to the clearing, I pray for clear perception and I make the best of where I am at!

Divine Timing
What is divine timing?
Divine timing is the intersection of all favorable circumstances for your desires to manifest. Know that your prayers and affirmations have been heard and are being answered. This is where our faith and patience comes in. Rest in your trust and patience knowing that everything is being taken care of behind the scenes on your behalf.
You may be seeing or feeling markers that are a sure indication of great things on the horizon. Hold the faith! Let go of the big picture and trust that everything is going according to plan.
Peace.

Living in the Gap
So many times in life we find ourselves in the midst of waiting for a certain something to happen. We fret, we worry, we obsess... We feel our life cannot start until we get that certain something! We are thrown into a gap in time that feels like an abyss... an unfathomable or immeasurable void where we feel we will never reach what it is we are waiting for... This is where our true faith comes in.
I remember when my ex-husband had told my son about this "cool" bicycle that his friend "might" be giving away. My son wanted that bike so badly! It was a very expensive motocross trick bike that was left in the garage of the friend's rental house. The renters had moved out and left the bike. The friend was waiting to see if they came back to get it. He had no contact number for them, therefore he chose to hold onto it for sometime to see if the owners came back for it.
It was all my son could talk about. He asked me constantly about the bike and if I had heard from dad. I would gently tell him that was between him and his father and I knew nothing of the bike or the story behind it. Day after day, week after week, he obsessed about the bike. Finally, I explained to him about "letting go, letting God". I told him the worrying and obsessing was just keeping him from focusing and from being happy right now. I asked him if he was willing to give it up to the universe and let it go- kind of like a puff of smoke. If it was meant to be, it would be his in divine right timing. He told me he could and he actually did it!
I did not hear another word about that bicycle until the day he told me his dad had called and the bike was to be his! It was approximately 6-8 weeks in time before my little boy had his answer. To an adult that may not seem like a very long time, but to a boy wanting a certain cool bike, that was forever!
The truth is, we can not speed up time any faster with our obsession and we waste precious time by not being fully present in our life right now. Time is constant. It stops for no one. Although, it is fully in our power to choose what to do with our time.
If you have something right now that is pending... That you want so badly you can taste it, consider giving it up to the universe. Say a little prayer of release such as, "I give this to you, God (Universe, Spirit, Source) and may you deliver this to me in divine right timing if ________ is for my highest good. And so it is." One may have to repeat this prayer several times to fully feel and believe in its power... Then sit back and trust that Spirit will bring to you what is truly for your highest good.
Live in the NOW! Enjoy your life and the processes that it brings to you. We are learning and growing and evolving everyday. Enjoy NOW, for we only truly have NOW.
